Buying gold and brass wall lights in the UK

Crek gathers panels of translucent glass around a brushed brass frame, and Na-ar by Studio Scatter D uses slim fluted brass cylinders, Ø3cm. Sinua holds a disc of satin glass on one blade of light gold, and Charles carries crystal on gold nickel. Caterina pairs an opal cup with an olive green or agatha bell on a brushed brass arm.

Century sets its cut crystal column on French gold. Chandeliers in matching finishes are in gold chandeliers and brass and bronze chandeliers.

Wall lights sit at the height of door furniture and picture frames, so the metal is compared directly with those. Brushed brass and light gold are the easiest to live with, as they are quieter than polished gold and tolerate a slightly different brass nearby. Set a polished or gold-leaf finish against a plain wall, where it has room.

Fit a pair either side of a mirror, a bed or a fireplace, at a centre height of about 1.5 to 1.7m. In a corridor, space them every 1.5m to 2m.
