Buying crystal ceiling lights in the UK

Trilliane 48cm is tiers of crystal on polished stainless steel, in a semi-flush form at eight or ten lights. Sarella wraps metal discs and crystal beading around fine glass arms, at £2,945 for three lights, and at twelve lights in the larger flush fitting. Glissando sets precision-cut Swarovski crystal on a twisting line.

Pieces from other makers for low rooms are in chandeliers for low ceilings. Matching hanging pieces are in crystal chandeliers.

A flush crystal fitting gives you the material of a chandelier without its drop, which suits bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms and any ceiling under 2.7m. Schonbek makes these as part of the same families as its chandeliers, so a hall and the bedroom above it can share a design at different heights.

Choose a diameter by the room: add the length and width in metres and multiply by eight, then take a little off, as a flush fitting reads wider than a hanging one. Crystal close to the ceiling also throws pattern across the plaster, so a smooth finish suits it best.
