Blue glass cools the light that passes through it, so it is rarely the main source in a room. It works as an object: a lamp on a dark shelf, a wall light at the end of a corridor, a pendant seen against plaster. Pair it with a warm source elsewhere so faces do not take on the colour.
Dalì overlaps layers of thermoformed glass softened by heat, and light blue gives a cool, clear wash. Munetta is a cordless dome shaded from clear to midnight blue. Stimma by Debonademeo radiates tubes of coloured blown glass from a metal hub, peacock blue among them, and Cage by Leo De Carlo comes in Cornflower and Sapphire.
For warmer glass, see The Golden Hour.
