Danilo De Rossi

The Venetian architect who has been Italamp's art director since 2016.

Danilo De Rossi is an architect and designer based in Venice. He studied architecture at IUAV in Venice and lighting design at the Politecnico di Milano, art-directed Leucos for almost twenty years, and has been Italamp's art director since 2016. He also teaches product and lighting design at Istituto Raffles in Milan.

His Italamp pieces work glass close to its limits without fighting them: Pulsa and Pulsa Spira, the Rosè family, which won an IDA award in 2020, and Muna. He describes simplicity as a fundamental goal of his process, and his pieces tend towards a single material idea carried through a whole family of pendants, wall lights and lamps.
