Stefano Traverso was born in Genoa in 1973, studied industrial design at the Scuola Italiana Design in Padua and has taught there since 2001. He began as a junior designer in Enzo Berti's Studio Riforma and now works freelance in lighting and interiors for Italamp and other Italian makers. His Enso for Italamp was selected for the ADI Design Index in 2022.
His work combines industrial precision with handwork, setting geometric structure against organic material. Regolo uses marble as a structural element across pendant, wall and floor versions, and Halo hangs micro-ribbed glass panels in a broken ring.
