Delivery

Every Caspen piece is made to order, and delivery is treated with the same care as the making. Here is how it works, from order to installation day.

Made to order, not held in a warehouse

We do not sell from stock. When you place an order, your piece is made for you, whether by one of the studios we represent or by our own workshop. That is why we talk about timelines rather than dispatch dates.

Most pieces are completed and delivered within eight to twelve weeks. Some arrive sooner, and complex bespoke work can take longer. Before you pay, we confirm an estimated timeline for your specific piece in writing, and we keep you informed as it progresses. No silence, no chasing.

How your piece travels

Delivery is arranged once your piece is ready and checked. Depending on its size, weight, and fragility, it will arrive either with our own delivery team or with a trusted specialist courier. Large or delicate pieces, chandeliers in particular, are handled accordingly; we will agree the arrangements with you before anything is dispatched, including the delivery date and any access requirements at your end.

If your project has a site schedule to work around, tell us. We are used to coordinating with designers, builders, and electricians, and we would rather hold a finished piece for the right week than deliver it to a building site that is not ready for it.

On arrival

Please inspect your piece on the day it arrives and let us know about any damage within 48 hours, with photographs where possible. Transit damage is rare, but when it happens, early reporting is the difference between a fast resolution and a slow one. Unpack and check your piece even if installation is weeks away.

Installation

All mains-voltage lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician. Many of the pieces we sell are substantial, and some require specific fixing or suspension arrangements; the technical information you need is provided with your order, and our studio is available to answer questions from your electrician before and during installation.

Where we deliver

We deliver throughout mainland UK. For delivery elsewhere, contact the studio before ordering and we will confirm what is possible for the piece you have in mind.
