Buying Masiero in the UK

Caspen carries 55 Masiero pieces, from the Serica pendant at £260 to Lustralis at up to £53,485.

Nappe by Marco Zito redraws the tassels of Venetian palaces as ten pendants, each fixed to the ceiling on its own, so the room decides the line. Serica pares that idea back to tubes Ø2.5cm, in groups of three to 54 on one canopy. Na-ar by Studio Scatter D is fluted brass Ø3cm, and Antesia by Stella and Giovanni Battista Gianola gathers mouth-blown glass under one canopy.

For a large ceiling, Lustralis builds from arcs of 50 to 200cm, straight sections and corners. For a terrace or loggia, Drylight is rated IP66, its crystals made in polycarbonate and PMMA. For a dining table or island, Crek runs to 123cm.

By designer: Marco Zito.

Masiero began in 1981 as a small atelier in Casale sul Sile, near Treviso, founded by Marilena Pellizzato and Paolo Masiero. It has grown into a design house that works with outside designers on decorative lighting rooted in Venetian glass.

The collection here includes Marco Zito's Nappe and Serica, which rework the tassels of Venetian palazzi, the Antesia compositions in blown glass, and modular pieces such as Na-ar and Lustralis that can be built out across a large ceiling.
