The company began as Emme Pi Light, founded by Paolo Masiero and Marilena Pellizzato, and took the family name in 2005, when their son Enrico Maria joined it. Masiero has never treated that inheritance as something to keep behind glass. The classical chandelier is where they start, not where they stop. From it they have worked toward something nearer to architecture, light that belongs in a contemporary room without losing its memory.
