Vegas is built from rows of transparent glass strips set edge to edge around a metal frame finished in champagne leaf. The LED source runs along the frame itself, sealed behind plexiglass, so light travels the length of every strip and the whole surface glows with no visible point. It is dimmable. This is the compact 40cm round, sized to work alone in a hallway or in a run of two or three down an island.
Masiero has made lighting at the family's works at Casale sul Sile, just outside Venice, since 1981, and the entire production cycle, metalwork to final finishing, stays under one roof, which is what allows a finish like this to be applied piece by piece rather than bought in.
