Vegas is built from rows of transparent glass strips set edge to edge around a metal frame finished in champagne leaf. The LED source runs along the frame itself, sealed behind plexiglass, so light travels the length of every strip and the whole surface glows with no visible point. It is dimmable. In this format the rows stack into a 140cm vertical chandelier, a column of lit glass for a generous hallway or a stair with less height to play with.
Masiero has made lighting at the family's works at Casale sul Sile, just outside Venice, since 1981, and the entire production cycle, metalwork to final finishing, stays under one roof, which is what allows a finish like this to be applied piece by piece rather than bought in.
