Honice is cut from stone. Slabs of natural onyx sit in an abstract arrangement around a matt gold band, with LEDs washing up and down so the stone lights from within and the veining does the decorating; the onyx is natural, so the figuring on yours repeats on no one else's. This is the 80cm round, an 89W system delivering 15,500 lumens, which is serious light for an entrance hall or dining room.

Masiero remains a family company, founded in 1981, and every piece is built start to finish at its works at Casale sul Sile outside Venice, which is why made-to-order sizes and finishes are possible at all.
