The Detail

Sound hangs drum shades in brushed gold, each with a decorative glass diffuser set inside, so the metal gives the shape and the glass softens everything that leaves it. In this format six shades hang from fine cables, each fixing to the ceiling independently, so the 120cm composition is arranged to the room rather than to a template.

It comes from Masiero of Casale sul Sile, outside Venice, where the family has built lighting since 1981 and the traditional Venetian chandelier remains the starting point for everything the company makes.
