Bagatelle takes the traditional hanging lantern and redraws it with a light touch, dressing the familiar frame in a refined fall of crystal so a form everyone knows arrives carrying far more fire than it ever did. Other finishes are available to order. This is the pendant in Antique Silver.
The crystal is Schonbek's Heritage Handcut, made in Europe the slow way: each facet cut one at a time on iron and sandstone wheels, then polished with marble dust on a wooden wheel, to patterns replicating gems that hung in the castles of the Habsburg empire. Schonbek has built crystal lighting since 1870, beginning in Bohemia under Adolph Schonbek, and pieces like this are why the name still carries weight.
