Schonbek Olde World 23 Light Chandelier in Polished Silver with Clear Heritage Handcut Crystal

Olde World is the nineteenth century remembered in crystal, its hand-formed body blossoming outward in tiers the way the grand European chandeliers did, built to command an entrance hall or dining room from above. This is the 23-light chandelier in Polished Silver.

The crystal is Schonbek's Heritage Handcut, made in Europe the slow way: each facet cut one at a time on iron and sandstone wheels, then polished with marble dust on a wooden wheel, to patterns replicating gems that hung in the castles of the Habsburg empire. Schonbek has made crystal lighting since 1870, when Adolph Schonbek founded the house in Bohemia.
