Schonbek
Trilliane is Schonbek's study in pure crystal: tiers of inverted pendeloques set so close that the fixture reads as a single body of cut crystal, every piece working the light from its own angle. This is the 8-light pendant in Stainless Steel.
The crystal is Schonbek's Heritage Handcut, made in Europe the slow way: each facet cut one at a time on iron and sandstone wheels, then polished with marble dust on a wooden wheel, to patterns replicating gems that hung in the castles of the Habsburg empire. Schonbek has built crystal lighting since 1870, beginning in Bohemia under Adolph Schonbek, and pieces like this are why the name still carries weight.
