Tea 2392/PL Ceiling Light

Tea 2392/PL is a ceiling light made like a bouquet. Gold nickel stems of different lengths spring from a charcoal grey band at the ceiling and spread outwards, and each stem ends in a sphere of frosted blown glass in satin white. There are eight globes in all, across a 78cm spread and 60cm from the ceiling to the lowest point.

Italamp first drew Tea as a floor lamp, a few stems rising from a metal base like flowers in a vase. The ceiling version turns the bouquet over, and the charcoal band that gathers the stems is the one dark note against the gold. Each globe holds a 3W G9 LED lamp behind satin glass, so the light is soft and even from every angle and the lamps are never visible.

At 60cm deep, Tea hangs lower than a flush ceiling light but much higher than a pendant, which suits rooms where a chandelier would be too much. On a 2.4m ceiling it leaves about 1.8m beneath, so place it over a dining table, a coffee table or a bed rather than a walkway; with 2.7m or more it can sit in the middle of a sitting room. The 78cm spread suits a round table for four to six. Italamp also offers the structure in matt black with charcoal grey.

TRIAC dimming is included as standard, with Casambi control available. At 6kg the fixing is straightforward.

Made in Italy by Italamp, which has made lighting in Italy since 1975 and is based at Cadoneghe, near Padua.
