Genesis hangs in the air like a length of fabric caught mid-fall.
Gianluca Regazzo, working from the language of fashion, knits a slender metal thread into a translucent textile that drapes, folds and turns as though still in motion, then fixes it in space. Lit from above by downlights, the weave does something solid metal cannot: it glows through its whole depth and throws soft, shifting shadows as you move around it.
The scale is deceptive. The double linear form runs to three metres of sculpture yet weighs under three kilos, a presence without mass. Every piece is shaped by hand and no two are alike. Three configurations, linear, double linear and vertical, in stainless steel or brass, adjusted to the space on site.
Handmade in Florence.
