Stand under an Atlantis and the eye refuses to read it as metal.
Barlas Baylar drapes hundreds of lengths of fine brass chain, almost three miles of it in the larger forms, over polished bands, and the whole surface takes on the behaviour of falling water: pooling, spilling, folding back into itself. Lit, the integrated LEDs carry the glow down through the body of the piece, so it shimmers rather than shines.
Each one is hand-crafted by master Italian artisans. Nine standard forms, from a wall sconce to a 2.5 metre linear chandelier, six plated finishes, dimmable throughout, with custom drops for stairwells and double-height spaces arranged through the studio.
