Lit, the open metal throws a second drawing across the walls and ceiling, a web of soft shadow lines that turns a plain room into part of the piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNickel, black nickel, gold or copper plate. Stand it in a corner, beside a fireplace or at the end of a sofa, and it throws its shadow drawing up the walls and across the ceiling. It weighs 16kg, so it stands solidly.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe table lamp is the same idea at hand scale, a Ø30cm knot of brass around a single bulb, for a console, a sideboard, a bedside or a library shelf, where it reads as a small sculpture by day.
