Clear blown glass is trimmed in ruby and light blue, then hung with flowers and small bells in polychrome glass paste. The floor lamp stands 180cm high, with five lights carried on arms at the top of a long glass column.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe column is the part to look at. It is built from blown glass sections, separated by collars in ruby and blue, and it stands on a wide ruffled glass base with a metal ring beneath it. The flowers sit among the arms at the top, at about head height, so they can be seen up close. It takes 60cm by 60cm of floor and weighs 30kg.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA pair either side of a fireplace or a large doorway is the natural arrangement, and one alone holds the corner of a formal room or a hotel lounge. Five E14 lamps give a fair amount of soft light, so in a smaller room it can replace a chandelier altogether.
