It has no transparency, so the chandelier reads first as a silhouette, and the ribs and the diamond pattern appear only where they catch a highlight. It needs a pale ceiling or a lit wall behind it. Rosso Murano, a deep red on the maker's chart, does the opposite: with the lamps on, the glass itself seems to glow, which is a great deal of colour for one room. Rosso Corsa is the second red. Clear shows how much ribbing and leaf work there is, and picks up the colour of the frame. Gold, White, and Clear and gold are also offered.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 12-light is 145cm tall with a drop of 160 to 210cm, so people can walk beneath it with a ceiling of 3.7m. The 18-light adds a tier and needs 4.2m. Over a long table, allow 3.1m and 3.6m. The maker's own room shot hangs the black version in a dark-panelled entrance hall, above a block of red seating that keeps people out from under it.
