The head is made like the chandelier, with curled arms ending in small scrolled flowers, scalloped cups and feathered leaves. The column itself is decorated at intervals, so it holds the eye even when the lamps are off.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe maker photographs it in gold glass, described as entirely streaked with gold, and the gold shows most in the ribs and in the bowl of each cup. On a dark wall, this is the version with the most presence. Clear and gold or clear with acacia trim let more of the room show through the column.
