The bar carries an opaline diffuser and lights in three modes: upward, downward, or both at once.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStefano Traverso, the Genoa-born industrial designer who teaches at the Scuola Italiana Design in Padua, drew Regolo from straight lines, defined spaces and simple geometry, a clarity Italamp relates to the design of the 1970s. The first Regolo paired a Calacatta gold sphere with a champagne or matte black aluminium bar; a warm grey bar with black Marquinia marble followed. The Maxi stretches the idea to a length that can take the whole of a dining table.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the room, 180cm suits a table of about 220 to 280cm or a kitchen island of similar length, hung along the centre line. The bar is 17cm deep and 17cm tall and weighs 9kg. The standard suspension gives a 75cm drop; Italamp also makes the same bar on longer suspensions of 94, 164 and 214cm for high ceilings and double-height rooms. The integrated 51W module gives 5,300 lumens at a colour rendering over 90.
