Over a dining table it needs a table of around 180cm or more to sit in proportion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe medium and large are pieces for double-height halls, stairwells, hotel lobbies and restaurants. The medium is 100cm across and 245cm overall; the large is 145cm across, 180cm tall in the body and 300cm overall. Nicolas Terzani leads the in-house design team at his family's lighting house in Florence, which has been making lights since 1972. Hung in a stairwell or a double-height hall, the twenty-six light pieces fill the void with points of light and cast water patterns down the walls as you climb. Over a long dining table, the fifteen light rectangular canopy, 68 by 40cm, follows the line of the table, hung with the lowest drop about 75cm above the top. The round versions belong where the piece is seen from every side: over a round table, in an entrance hall, in a hotel lobby. The overall height is set on site up to 250cm, and longer drops for taller spaces are made to order.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCrystal changes the character of the light. Clear gives the sharpest, most brilliant patterns. Gold, champagne and cognac warm both the glass and the light it throws, cognac most deeply, and silver dust carries a fine shimmer within the crystal. For larger spaces, groups of Manta at staggered heights over a long table, through a stairwell or across a hotel lobby read like a shoal moving through the room; the mini disc version, with a Ø7.5cm disc and a remote driver, keeps the ceiling clean when many are hung together.
